Prayer Guides for our Nation
As our nation approaches the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we recognize that our nation is dependent on Almighty God for every good thing.
Psalm 33:12 (ESV) "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!”
But woe to the nation that departs from Him and His ways.
The Leadership of All Souls has called our congregation to join in prayer for our Nation, the Church, and ourselves -- that in each sphere we would humble ourselves, repent of sin, and walk in His righteousness. What the Lord said to Israel applies to all nations:
2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV) If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Pray for our Nation – its people and its leaders, and especially pray for the Church, for the fate of our land rests upon the people of God. We hope the following Prayer Guides help all of us as we pray.
